Here at training camp I am with my squad of 31 people (praise the Lord for keeping us all healthy through the quarantine established since arrival here at Adventures in Missions, having a split up squad was no fun). In this squad we are split up into teams, the guys team, then 4 separate girls teams. My team is Team Magdalene!!! I have 3 amazing teammates and a wonderful team leader!!

P.S. There is a special announcement at the end:)

This is Paige Canova!

She is the team leader for Team Magdalene.

Paige is from Ankeny, Iowa and is the one of the sweetest, most kind-hearted person you’ll meet! Her sweet spirit has been so welcoming to me and my team. She loves being around people and loving them as deep as she can. She loves dogs almost as much as her family . Her family is also one of the most important things in her life: her twin sister, older brother, and her parents. Apart from that she is an amazing leader to say the least. She really wants to make sure everyone feels welcome and safe as we pursue this vulnerable journey in our relationship with the Lord. I am so thankful for her caring personality, and want to reach out to others and encourage them in spirit and in truth.

This is Marissa Newell!

Marissa is from Columbia, South Carolina. She is hilarious, and never ceases to make me laugh, but she also knows when to be serious especially when it comes to talking about our Abba:) Her favorite flower is baby breath, she always makes sure to pick fresh flowers from the trails we hike to put in a little jar to put on our table. Little gestures like this are so crucial in a place where we are building a new family and a new home together. So thankful for this girl and her joyful spirit and passion to pursue His kingdom.

This is Kourtney Vitera

She is from Louise, Texas and is 18 years old. She loves coffee, journaling, all things nature, and hanging out with her friends and family. She’s a dog mom to a German Shepard mix named Dusty. She has an amazing gift for music; being able to play piano, ukulele and sing. She is a women on fire for the Lord and love to lift her voice to him. I admire this girl so much, she love love loves scripture and continue to always dive right into scripture at a moments notice.

This is Hannah Hutchinson

She is from Nashville, Tennessee and is 20 years old. She loves coffee and making it. She also has a black belt in Taekwondo (super cool I know right). Not only does this girl love art but she is so gifted in art but is so humble about this gift that she carries. I love seeing the sweet smile she has whenever we talk about different kinds of art or trying different calligraphy styles together. Hannah brings such a softness to any room she walks in, but also won’t hesitate to have fun. She is an amazing representation of such caring, gentle, joyful woman of God.

That is my amazing team right there! I will definitely be sharing more about me and my teammates as we go through this new season of our lives together.

To end this blog I have super exciting news:)

Drum roll please…..

WE’RE GOING TO LOUISIANA!!!!

We will be doing hurricane relief with Samaritan’s Purse in Dequicy, Louisiana for a week! Starting October 3rd, me and my squad will be driving 12 hours to volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse and provide aid to those affected by hurricane Laura. We are so thankful for this opportunity to help others in need!!

If you would like to see our lovely faces more, my teammate Kourtney has been putting together vlogs videos from our time here at Georgia. The link below is for a intro to our team and extra details on how our team works:)
