I was thinking of the best way to describe what’s going on in the world right now, and in a sense it’s chaos. So many lives turned upside down, many people have asked me how I’m doing with this is my senior year and how it’s been “ruined.” I’m honest with them that I don’t really want or like to think about it in that way. If I tell myself it’s ruined I won’t be able to enjoy the moments I still have or things that can still happen. What does all this mean exactly? Well as you can see the title is a fill in the blank, so I filled in what I felt in this moment.

In the midst of the chaos He is there.

In the midst of the chaos I am not alone.

In the midst of the chaos I am strong.

These are just some of the few that the Lord pressed on my heart and has continued to over these months. I am grateful for the spirit of peace that God has given me in such a time as this.

What I really want to get to is how this has affected my trip. My quick response is nothing has changed, in fact it has made me even more enthusiastic about what God has planned. Granted, the fundraising part isn’t any easier but I have to do my part to still connect with as many as I can so that the Lord can do his part. My grandpa was such a great example for me in these situations. He always had set in his mind that you always give to God first, then you can bless others so that they may know the blessings that Jesus gives us.

Connecting with others and sharing the love of Christ is the ultimate goal. I feel that God has shown us an opportunity to spread his love even more in a circumstance that sparks a consuming fear that we can counter act with Him. As I type each of these sentences I pray that they touch your heart as they have touched mine.

In the midst of the chaos His love prevails.

I encourage everyone reading this to speak this over you, your family, your community, the world. We are the body of Christ!

“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”

1 Corinthians 12:27

  2. I love this and I love how you’re choosing to hold onto hope “in the midst of the chaos” 🙂
