This is the name of the ministry I have been working with for the past 3 weeks now, and let me tell y’all, I love these people. One Way Community leads with love and servitude. Each person that volunteers devotes their whole heart to this program. They have a sports ministry where kids primarily play soccer/train for soccer. This helps bring girls and boys of all ages into this atmosphere of love, when the kids get involved then we can slowly get closer with each family.

Home visits. Such a beautiful way to show the love of Christ above all else! We walk around the community to visit families of the kids enrolled in the programs, we sit down and listen to their stories. I don’t even know how many houses I’ve been to but each one touches my heart. Even on the days I’m working with volunteers that don’t speak any English hardly or we don’t have a translator that day, I still pray and intercede that God would “translate” for me. Highlighting things about these families, words of encouragement and prayer, speaking love and life over the family. I know they probably don’t understand a word of English that I pray over them but they appreciate it from the bottom of their hearts. Knowing that someone cares makes a huge difference, knowing that God cares is what makes the world of a difference.

No we don’t walk around saying you need Jesus, what we do say is that we bring everything we have and everything we are because of Him.

God has taught me so much in the short month of being here in Guatemala so far. He has shown me how deeply he cares for all of his people, and that He desires each one of them. He speaks to me all the time! When I seek his voice and surrender myself to Him, he can truly speak through me to His people.

This ministry is not easy, being outside pretty much all day, going up a giant hill to get to part of the community, carrying wooden pallets up a goat hill, walking an hour to visit a family only to be turned down. None of this is ever easy, but I wake up everyday knowing that God fills my heart, my mind, my body with His joy, love, peace, strength, and every bit of his goodness so that I can be a vessel! What a honor!!! I get to serve the Lord and serve others!! Showing them that Gods love is so powerful, so good, and wonderful!

It has def been a challenge to share how much God is doing right now, but I am trying to also do a video blog to visually show what I do with my ministry!
Cant wait to share more with you guys!

Always keep a smile:)
